Shirley M. Moore is a shareholder with Burson Entrekin Orr Mitchell & Lacey, PA Ms. Moore is licensed in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Her practice includes all aspects of civil litigation, both state and federal, including representing clients in premises liability and medical negligence suits; bad faith insurance litigation; workers’ compensation law; labor and employment law; and appellate advocacy. Before joining the firm, Ms. Moore served as a law clerk to the Honorable Larry Roberts of the Mississippi Court of Appeals. During law school, she externed with Magistrate Michael Parker of the United States District Court, Southern District.

Ms. Moore is a 2005 graduate of William Carey University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology, summa cum laude. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 2008, graduating cum laude. During law school, she was involved in numerous activities, including the prestigious Moot Court Board, and was the recipient of many awards and merit scholarships. Ms. Moore obtained her LL.M. Degree in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2014.

Prior to joining the legal community, Ms. Moore worked in the dental profession, wherein she co-owned and operated a dental laboratory for over twenty years.
